GARDEN SCULPTURE – Stainless Services Group Pty Ltd
This unique garden sculpture, an architectural landscaping installation was conceived by Stainless Services Group for a residential apartment development in Kingston, Canberra. Kennovations was engaged to convert the conceptual sketches of the sculpture into an engineered design with structural integrity and visual appeal, and to provide 3D CAD production drawings to facilitate manufacture by a third party. The engineered design combines laser cut, rolled and welded steel sections. The sculpture is made from Corten steel which has both functional and aesthetically pleasing qualities. Corten steel develops a layer of rust on the surface that improves and regenerates over time, protecting the sculpture from the elements and requiring very little maintenance.
