Tasty Trucks "Vanchise" Expands Into NSW
January 2012
Kennovations client Tasty Trucks has expanded its mobile food franchise system dubbed “Vanchising” into NSW with the recent acquisition of Lunch Express in Newcastle. The acquisition adds another 17 vans to its existing fleet of 64 vans. Tasty Trucks currently serve more than 15,000 meals each day throughout Victoria. Colin Lear, Tasty Trucks founder, said Lunch Express systems, processes, vans and products will mirror those of Tasty Trucks and Tasty Trucks vans will progressively replace the Lunch Express vans. There are plans to continue to grow the Tasty Trucks brand throughout NSW adding another 20 vans in NSW and Victoria over the next 12 months. Colin Lear said they will continue to look at acquisitions in other states in a bid to realise their goal of becoming a national brand. Post merger, Tasty Trucks will employ more than 200 people, boasts 81 vans, has food processing, production-line facilities in Ferntree Gully and Newcastle and a distribution depot in Tullamarine.
Kennovations designed the customisation of the Toyota fleet vehicles for the Tasty Trucks franchise business.
