Kennovations is proud to announce that we have been engaged by Frasers Property to design, develop and install the Heliostats and Reflector Panels for the visionary residential development 'One Central Park' designed by French architect Jean Nouvel. 'One Central Park' is the first residential stage of the Central Park major redevelopment of the old Carlton & United Brewery site in Chippendale, Sydney.

'One Central Park' residential development will comprise two towers of 16 and 33 storey's respectively above a 5 level retail and recreation podium. The eastern tower features a passive solar design heliostat installation extending from the upper levels on a giant cantilever platform. The heliostat incorporates an innovative system of fixed and motorised mirrored panels designed to capture sunlight and redirect it into the retail and landscaped terraces to provide light and warmth to areas that would not otherwise receive a lot of natural light.

At night the heliostat's integrated lighting, designed by renowned lighting artist Yann Kersale, will display video interpretations of Sydney landscapes.

Kennovations has been engaged by Frasers Property to provide technical feasibility, conceptual and detailed design and engineering for the 42 x 6.25 sqm Sun Tracking Heliostats (on the rooftop), the 325 x 1.5 sqm Reflector Panels (suspended beneath the main cantilever) each with 9 LED clusters within the surface, lighting plan development and risk minimisation strategies.

Construction of 'One Central Park' is underway, with installation of the Heliostats and Reflectors scheduled for May 2012.
