Easy Hammer Wins ABC The New Inventors Episode Award

Rory Kennard, Managing Director of Kennovations Product Design and Engineering appeared on the ABC television program The New Inventors with his own invention, the Easy Hammer, on Wednesday 21 April 2010 and won the judges Episode Award. Easy Hammer was demonstrated, explained and judged by an expert panel against two other inventions and is now in the running for The New Inventors Invention of the Year.
Easy Hammer is an innovative demolition tool for removing floor tiles, vinyl, cork and residue from tile beds. It is a trolley that clamps and supports various types of jackhammers so that the user can position themselves comfortably behind the trolley and push the jackhammer along.
The Easy Hammer carries most of the weight of the jackhammer, adjusts to 6 different positions ranging from 20-80 degrees and has built in shock absorption - saving your back and taking the pain out of demolition. It quickly removes floor tiles with some customers claiming that they can complete their job up to 8 times faster than using the jackhammer alone.
The New Inventors hosted by James O’Loghlin airs on ABC1 at 8pm on Wednesdays. In each episode the judges evaluate three products on the merits of originality, design qualities, manufacturing potential, pricing, marketability, safety and ‘need’ factor. The judges were impressed with Easy Hammer and its performance naming it the Episode 12 Winner.
