The Product
When Javelin Australia (on behalf of Foster’s Australia) commissioned Kennovations Industrial Design to produce a giant figurine for an up-coming launch of VB’s summer of cricket campaign, special results were required within very tight time frames.
The Process
The Shane Warne Statue was a recreation of an existing figurine, and needed to undergo several processes before it was ready for the MCG launch.
The figurine was laser scanned so that imperfections could be smoothed out when the object was scaled up more than 10 times its original size.
Blocks of polystyrene were machined and assembled before the finishing touches were applied based on the figurines paintwork.
The Result
In only 13 working days, Kennovations delivered and assembled the completed project on-site.
The Statue and plinth were the main attraction at the MCG October 3rd launch and have since graced Fosters’ main Foyer in Melbourne and traveled to Brisbane for the first cricket Test against Sri Lanka. It is set to tour the country shadowing our cricketers as they chase victory.
